Help Desk FAQs
Schedule a complimentary introductory call and we'll do a quick review of your site and talk about your goals. You'll gain clarity about what services will be the best fit for your business.
For Express plan clients, a quote for additional services will be provided by request. There is a one-hour minimum fee per request ($125/hr). Time is tracked in 15 minute increments and by calendar month (Jan, Feb, etc.)
The Essentials Plus plan includes two hours of support or consulting per calendar month. Extra time beyond the included support is billed at $110/hr. Time is tracked in 15 minute increments and by calendar month (Jan, Feb, etc.)
All service time and task detail is logged and provided along with your invoice, available at any time as requested.
To keep tracking simple, extra service time is accounted for by calendar month. Time in excess of any included amount is invoiced on the 1st of each calendar month, and can be billed to your credit card on file. Please note that this charge is separate from your monthly subscription fee.
For example, service time incurred in April will be billed on May 1st (minus any plan included amount), and charged to your credit card on file on May 5th (or next business day).

For clients new to ProVirtual Solutions, we will first do a website evaluation audit to become familiar with the website and how it was built. We'll look for any lurking technical problems that can possibly impact ongoing care of the site. In the majority of cases, this audit and repair service is provided for a fixed fee. The whole purpose of Help Desk support plans is to provide preventative care to greatly reduce the risk of hacking or going offline due to site issues. In our years of experience, site downtime is usually related to hosting-related problems that are beyond our control. When necessary, we work with your provider to resolve the issue. In the unlikely event that a hosting outage is extended, we can restore your site using our cloud backup at a new hosting provider.
All Help Desk subscribers can simply send an email to a dedicated support address, provided when you sign up. You'll get an immediate acknowledgement and a follow up to keep you posted on progress. Essentials Plus and custom retainer clients also have access to a private Slack channel (vis Slack Connect).
When you send a request to your dedicated email address, you will get an immediate email acknowledgement and timely followup. Depending on the request, you can expect completion within 1-3 business days. In any case, you'll be kept fully informed on progress.
Much like a lawyer’s retainer, the monthly support time included (Essentials Plus and custom retainer plans) is there for you every month to reserve your place in our scheduling queue, and therefore it does not roll over to the following month.
We have opinions about web hosts! In fact, much of what makes a site secure and perform well is baked into the hosting as much as the site itself. During our initial call, we'll talk hosting and if needed, we may suggest making a switch. There's lots of great hosts, but we especially love Cloudways, SiteGround and WP Engine for WordPress sites.
Yes! We understand that your needs can change and don't like to lock clients into a service that may not be optimal for their needs. Cancel or upgrade/downgrade anytime. Note that pro-rated refunds are not offered on cancellations.
Help Desk is intended to provide clients with steady, reliable webmaster services to care for their websites and to provide advice when needed. We have found that this approach leads to better results and long-term cost savings.
Packaged services which address commonly needed website tasks are available on this website for a reasonable fixed fee. You can also contact us for a custom project quote. If it has been awhile since your WordPress site was updated, the WordPress Website Audit + Tune-Up is recommended.
All Help Desk plans are billed monthly to your credit card on file. You'll receive an email receipt after your monthly payment processes. All major credit cards are accepted for payment.
Routine requests are handled by email, however, if your plan includes consulting time, you can schedule a call during normal business hours. In addition, Essentials Plus and custom retainer clients also have access to a private Slack channel (via Slack Connect).

THE FINE PRINT
- The monitored WordPress website must be technically stable, and served by a reliable web host and developed within the past 5 years.
- Necessary corrections and updates to stabilize the site or hosting provider changes will incur additional setup fees. A quote for this service will be provided following a technical website audit.
- Automatic monthly credit card billing is required for all plans.
