AI writing assistant

So here we go… my first AI-assisted blog post! Like most business owners, I’m super-busy and wear a lot of hats. I’m all-in on anything that will help me save time and brainpower on essential tasks that need to happen, but aren’t part of my core business—and one time-consuming task is creating blog content. While I don’t dislike writing posts, it’s still one of those things that I don’t have tons of time to do. And with any creative activity like writing, time constraints aren’t helpful when trying to compose well-written content. Anything that can jumpstart the process is something I’m willing to try – and AI is here to help (btw, that’s artificial intelligence, in case you were wondering).

Bertha.ai screenshotThe above paragraph was partially composed with Bertha.ai. Bertha is a WordPress plugin that assists with a wide variety of website content types, from blog intro paragraphs to FAQs to full “About Us” pages. In just playing around with it for a short time, I’m impressed with the quality of the results and the flexibility. After just entering a few snippets of information, Bertha offered several sample paragraphs – with more available. You can save results to a favorites folder for later, if you’re not ready to commit.

I think most bloggers and copywriters don’t want to have a computer do their jobs, and I don’t think people really want to read AI-generated content. That said, while AI won’t totally replace human writers anytime soon, for now it can be a helpful support tool for bloggers and website owners looking for idea starters and timesavers.

Bertha.ai is free to try, although more advanced features are available on paid monthly plans. There’s also a “pay as you go” option for lightweight users like myself.  Definitely worth a try!
